Hello Folks,
We welcome you back for our second year of Modern Tropical Fish Bytes (MTFB). We are ecstatic with the response of all of you folks and we are looking forward to seeing just what is going to happen to the aquarium world this year.

Ricardo Cervantes deviated from his normal Discus article this issue because of an “event”. Boy is that an understatement . . . it was an Aquarium Happening in Singapore. Wait until you see what happened over there. What a feast for sore eyes! For sure the aquarium world is alive and well in places other than the United States.

We want to extend to Mike Wise our thanks and gratitude for writing an Apistogramma article for this edition of MTFB. It's nice for wonderfully knowledgeable aquarists to take the time to put their knowledge on paper and share it with all of us!

Going into our second year we are tremendously encouraged with what the "tracking" program for MTFB is telling us. On average each issue of MTFB had 20,000 + individual "hits" (not the same IP address) coming from 22 different countries . . . Indonesia, Taiwan, Canada, Denmark, France, Germany, Kuwait, Lithuania, Singapore, Spain, Netherlands (in no particular order) and many, many others. Folks, that's a lot of "hits". We are quite proud of this very different revolution in aquarium literature in which we are participating. In the truest sense the internet is limited by only our imagination and we are working on this.

Why not write down your thoughts and submit them to us? We won't turn down any article and probably have a picture or two that will go with your article. If not your photo(s) will of course be given full credit. Think of it, 20,000+ aquarists will read your thoughts on the state of YOUR hobby. We are in particular need of Saltware articles and articles other than cichlids! We won’t turn down a cichlid article either but for the other articles we would be forever in your debt. You write/we print!

ALSO . . . Please remember to send us all of your club's activities . . . meetings, auctions, fish shows, conventions. How can we help you if you don't send us the information? We want to fill up the Shows & Conventions page and the Club page! Don't be shy...do it!

Welcome to our world
!!!....... Mike Jacobs & Jim Cormier
