Topics: Keeping Killies in the fish room
& West African collecting trips.
Jack Heller has been in the aquarium fish hobby since he was ten years
old, and has collected killifish for thirty years.
Jack's primary focus is in West African killifish of the genera Aphyosemion,
Fundulopanchax and Epiplatys. The most exciting experience during his
years in the hobby was a collecting trip to Cameroon, West Africa with
Professors Nevin Aspinwall and Tomas Hrbek in 1998. Fish from that collecting
trip bear the collection label "HAH 98". Jack has written articles
for JAKA and Aquarium Fish Magazine, and is currently serving his second
term on the AKA Board of Trustees. Jack lives in Chesterfield Missouri,
a suburb of St. Louis, and maintains a basement fish room with sixty
tanks.
SHOW: Saturday July 10th
Morning - room set-up and fish loading, working session.
9:30 am - all fish must be benched, fish room open for visitors.
Free admission to show. This is your chance to see hundreds of beautiful Killifish.
10:00 am - judging begins.
2:00 pm - speaker and awards presentation.

Morning - fish bagging for auction and room break down, working session, volunteers
welcomed.
11:00 am - room open for fish viewing, make your list for the auction!

Noon - auction start, check or cash only
