The summer is fading and the fall and
winter is around the corner. Here in Florida there
is not much difference between the two but I remember
my 20+ years in Indiana and how the tropical fish hobby
kept me going for the whole winter and early spring
despite being cooped up in the cold and wet. Make sure
you make the correct preparations for the colder weather.
Take a look at your heaters and make sure everything
is working! The worse time to have something break
is during a 4 foot snow storm. It is a bit ironic that
I should say that because every time a hurricane even
gets close to us I swear I am going to get a generator.
Hurricane Charley went by 2 weeks ago and I hadn't
yet gotten that generator and now hurricane Frances
is about 35-30 miles away as I write and still the
generator is sitting at the nearest Home Depot. Are
we all that bad about those kinds of things? ("Ivan" is
churning down there in the "slot" . . . oh,
boy!)
We are on a roll here at MTFBs. This
batch of articles and pictures should really give you
some good reading and picture "looking".
We thank those of you who have taken the time unsolicited
to tell us that we are doing a pretty good job. Keep
those letters coming and we will "Work for Thanks!"
If any of you want to write something
for MTFBs just give me a holler and there should not
be a problem. I would appreciate it if you have pictures
but I have a bunch so I can help in that regard.
Well, lets not wait any longer. Good reading to you and let us know if you
want your local club in our list of clubs . . . it's n/c, on us!
Our next MTFB will be slated for sometime
in December.
